Job Summary

This role involves providing support for shovel and rotary drill moves under minimal supervision. You will work in environments where the primary objective is safe production, ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lay and pick up 2/0 and 4/0 power cables
  • Move switch houses from one location to another within the mine
  • Safely operate cable and boom trucks
  • Set-up and maintain dewatering systems
  • Assist in mine support activities as necessary
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements
  • At least six (6) months in trade
  • Must have completed academic and practical competencies required and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes, boom trucks, and cable reel trucks
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions
  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English

  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Work is in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes, or airborne particles
