About the Role

The **Director of Retail Media Sales** will be a key member of our growing media network team, responsible for driving revenue and partnership growth for omni-channel media programs. This role is centered on sales throughout the pre- and post-sales process for media partnerships, including managing an existing book of business, bringing in net new business, growing brand/agency partnerships, and internal cross-functional management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Generate revenue and strive to exceed target quota
  2. Utilize existing networks and intelligence tools to identify and contact prospective brand and agency contacts
  3. Offer smart client research, trends, and ideas to drive interest and cultivate relationships
  4. Dissect each brand organization to uncover different rivers of funding and unlock and elevate each relationship
  5. Present dynamically and instill confidence to challenge clients in a kind, smart, and creative way to ensure a seamless experience for both the retailer and suppliers
  6. Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend performance enhancements
  7. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless experience for both the retailer and suppliers
  8. Communicate with retailer teams regarding account outreach, pipeline, messaging, and SKU prioritization
  9. Track outreach and sales activity pipeline using CRM tools
Requirements
  1. Working knowledge of retail, e-commerce, and digital monetization programs, as well as Ad Tech Industry knowledge
  2. Strong leadership qualities, including trust, loyalty, empathy, forward thinking, and self-starter
  3. Strong organization skills, including prioritization to ensure deadlines are met
  4. Ability to problem solve, focused on being solution-oriented
  5. Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  6. Solution-oriented mindset
  7. Proven thought leader in strategic planning and operational efficiencies
  8. Efficient time management skills, able to sustain timeline management and campaign deliverables
  9. Experience in various CRM, Sales Intelligence, and Ad Server platforms, and/or the ability and willingness to learn quickly
  10. Ability to work in a team environment
  11. Proficient in Google suite products
Qualifications
  1. 5+ years' experience in advertising, media sales, and/or business development
  2. Strong understanding of CPG environment, either through direct sales experience or similar exposure
  3. Comfortable with DSP, DMP, PMP terminology and discussion
  4. BA/BS degree in marketing, business, or related field
  5. Post-COVID travel required to Brands/Agency offices
