Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Texas Orthopedic Hospital. As a PACU RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our surgical patients.

Responsibilities
  • Care for and manage the surgical patient in the post-anesthesia period, ensuring a smooth transition from the operating room to the recovery room.
  • Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Provide exceptional communication, confidence, and professionalism, actively engaging in unit and organizational activities.
  • Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required; BSN is preferred.
  • 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Recovery Room setting is required.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification are required.
