Job Summary

GLE Creative Talent, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in our ambulatory care settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Duties:
    • Administer medications and perform venipuncture and immunizations for adult and pediatric patients, adhering to current pharmacological principles.
    • Conduct primary patient care, considering the patient's age and developmental needs, and prepare patients for examination by rooming them and taking their vital signs.
    • Perform waived testing and specimen collection as needed, adhering to standard universal precautions.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Review and prepare medical charts, ensuring quality measure requirements are met before patient visits, and set up examination rooms daily, ensuring cleanliness and adequate supplies.
    • Screen patients without appointments and communicate relevant medical information to the RN Health Administrator and Provider, and respond to inquiries from patients, pharmacies, hospitals, and physicians via telephone and fax.
    • Assist with scheduling patient appointments when necessary, and complete all administrative tasks, phone messages, and patient case tasks within the electronic medical record system by the end of each business day.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide a positive and welcoming experience for all internal and external customers, exceeding their expectations to ensure the highest quality service and best possible outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience:
    • Medical Assistant: Completing a Medical Assistant program (diploma or certificate), and Certified Medical Assistant: Completing a Medical Assistant program (diploma or certificate) with registration/certification through the AMT Certification exam.
  • Other Qualifications:
    • Ability to work late evenings, weekends, and some holidays, and willingness to travel and work at various clinic locations as needed.
