Job Summary

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a highly skilled Toxicology Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our California Poison Control System (CPCS), you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on toxicology and poisoning cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency telephone calls and provide assessment, information, and management advice on toxicology and poisoning cases.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to ensure effective management of poisoning cases.
  • Participate in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and professional organizations.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of toxicology and pharmacology to provide expert advice and guidance.
Requirements
  • Pharm.D. degree and CA licensed pharmacist in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinically-oriented pharmacy practice or 2 years prior Poison Control Center experience.
  • Excellent drug information skills and knowledge of pharmacology, toxicology, physical chemistry, and pathophysiology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders.
