Job Title: Overnight Building Engineer

ABM Services, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Building Engineer will be responsible for supporting the designated leadership with the daily operations of all building systems, including hard surface maintenance and repair, basic carpentry and metal work, and operating, maintaining, and repairing all facility system equipment associated with HVAC operations and mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and perform repairs to buildings, utilities, grounds, and equipment.
  • Optimize the repair and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems.
  • Use best practices to troubleshoot and repair equipment and system problems.
  • Maintain continuous operations of equipment by trouble-shooting and repairing.
  • Provide hands-on training and collaboration to other engineering team members.
  • Foster a work environment that promotes energy conservation and continuous improvement of engineering functions.
  • Record all pertinent data in building logbooks and make daily entries.
  • Conduct utility and equipment tests.
  • Record pertinent data on all equipment in accordance with federal, state, and local codes and requirements.
  • Process administrative paperwork in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Act as a team member and demonstrate commitment to quality of service.
  • Comply with ABM Services and facilities' policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the safety program and maintain regular attendance in the workplace.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a mobile building engineer.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • State/local license for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC, plus universal level refrigerant recovery license.
  • Computer skills and building automation systems experience required.
  • Certification meeting OSHA ACM awareness training requirements as required.
  • Working knowledge of energy conservation required, formal training preferred.
