Research Animal Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Research Animal Care Specialist to join our Animal Care Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and husbandry to our research animals, ensuring their health and well-being in a safe and humane environment.
Responsibilities:- Animal Care and Husbandry: Provide daily care and maintenance of research animals, including feeding, exercise, and environmental enrichment.
- Sanitation and Maintenance: Clean and sanitize animal areas, perform general maintenance tasks, and ensure a safe and healthy environment for animals and staff.
- Health Monitoring and Medication Administration: Monitor animal health, administer medications as needed, and provide veterinary care under the supervision of a veterinarian.
- Record Keeping and Quality Assurance: Maintain accurate and detailed records of animal care, health, and maintenance, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including veterinarians, researchers, and other animal care staff, to ensure seamless animal care and research operations.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of documented work or volunteer experience caring for animals.
- Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in laboratory animal science or veterinary technology preferred.
