We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Pathologist to contribute to our Medical Device Pathology team at W. L. Gore & Associates. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of our implantable medical devices.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct gross and microscopic analysis of medical devices to assess their performance and safety.
- Compile and analyze data to write comprehensive pathology reports and internal white papers.
- Present findings in written and verbal formats to various stakeholders, including project teams and external partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to discuss evaluations and analyses.
- Provide subject matter expertise on non-clinical study protocols and regulatory-related efforts.
- Interact with study directors, research scientists, pathology technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain compliance with good laboratory practice (GLP) guidelines, institutional animal care policies, and federal animal welfare regulations.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
- Advanced training in veterinary anatomic pathology.
- ACVP board certification or board eligibility (anatomic).
- Strong collaborative communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to travel up to 5%.
- Advanced research training (MS or PhD).
- Expertise in medical device pathology.
- Experience in a GLP-compliant environment.
