Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist I to join our team at Quest Diagnostics in Cambridge, OH. As a Phlebotomist I, you will be responsible for collecting specimens from patients, administering oral solutions, and performing various laboratory tasks.

Responsibilities
  1. Collect and process specimens from patients, including blood samples and other biological materials.
  2. Administer oral solutions to patients as required.
  3. Verify and confirm patient information and test orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
  4. Enter data accurately and efficiently using a computer system.
  5. Obtain patient identification and collect payments when required.
  6. Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, and preparing for transport.
  7. Perform non-patient facing duties, such as inventory management, sanitizing equipment, and answering phones.
  8. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
  9. Assist with data compilation and submission as required.
  10. Maintain accurate phlebotomy logs and complete online training courses.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
