CEI Senior Inspector Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CEI Senior Inspector to join our team at Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE). As a CEI Senior Inspector, you will be responsible for overseeing the inspection of construction projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction projects to ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Develop and implement inspection plans to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the inspection process.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams on matters related to construction inspection and engineering.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that projects are being constructed in accordance with approved plans and specifications.
  • Prepare and submit inspection reports to project managers and clients.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in CEI inspection and engineering, with a strong background in construction inspection and engineering principles.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Physical Demands:

This position requires minimal lifting of up to 50 pounds sometimes on a frequent basis. The employee must be able to travel and tour work sites under adverse environmental conditions not limited to loud noise levels, high dust and dirt, and extreme temperature. The employee must be able to visually examine construction materials and finished structures and work in various types of weather and field conditions, including heights, uneven terrain, highway traffic, hazards of highway construction sites and heavy equipment.

Expected Hours of Work:

This position is full-time (40 hours per week). Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing one unpaid hour for lunch each day. While overtime is generally not anticipated, occasional projects or deadlines may necessitate additional hours, compensated according to company policy. Flexible schedules may be available with prior approval from the immediate supervisor. Work schedules may vary based on project demands.
