Position Overview

As a Facilities Operations Manager, you play a crucial role in ensuring our commitment to maintaining clean and well-functioning facilities.

Your primary responsibility is to lead our maintenance technicians, ensuring that all areas and equipment are operating safely and efficiently for our members.

Your leadership enables us to deliver a consistent and enjoyable experience for our members.
Qualifications

Maintenance experience: 2 years

Management experience: 1 year

General expertise in equipment repair and facility maintenance

Basic knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems

Strong organizational, multitasking, analytical problem-solving, and communication skills

Familiarity with computer skills, including email, Excel, and digital maintenance logs

Previous experience in fitness facility maintenance is highly preferred

Reliable transportation

CPR/AED certification

Physical Requirements/Work Environment


Must be able to work in environments with elevated noise levels; the sounds of equipment, energetic music, and the lively atmosphere can be quite vibrant.

Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.


Daily tasks may include lifting weights or equipment, squatting, bending, reaching, climbing ladders, and remaining stationary for extended periods.

Must be capable of moving fitness equipment weighing at least 50 pounds.

Regular exposure to various cleaning agents and maintenance supplies.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to:


  • Overseeing maintenance technicians to ensure high-quality and efficient service delivery.
  • Conducting facility inspections to identify repair needs and maintain the Maintenance Log.
  • Collaborating with General Managers to address maintenance requirements and repair timelines.
  • Managing maintenance of specialized equipment, ensuring proper service and upkeep.
  • Acquiring necessary repair parts, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Executing routine preventative maintenance and maintaining associated logs.
  • Performing monthly safety checks in accordance with OSHA guidelines and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
  • Engaging with members to enhance their overall club experience.
