Electrical Systems Designer

At Algas-SDI, we are committed to delivering high-quality products that meet or exceed industry standards. We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, testing, and supporting electrical and control systems for our equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 2-3 years of industry experience, preferably in equipment manufacturing or safety-critical applications.
The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with sales, customers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure finished goods meet all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Develop product requirements from collaboration with sales, project engineers, and customers.
- Develop necessary technical documentation for equipment manufacture.
- Validate as-built final product meets design requirements and troubleshoot with production if necessary.
- Provide continued technical support for electrical systems in operations.
- Assist Sales with bid activities to ensure customer requirements are fully understood and innovative solutions are proposed.
- Consult with vendors to source special equipment, material, or devices.
- Develop or update product documentation, including BOMs, SWGS, DS/QA, manuals, engineer bulletins, ECNs, etc.
The successful candidate will have working knowledge of the latest edition of NEC codes and familiarity with industry standards such as UL, CSA, NEMA, IEC, and NFPA 70.
