Patient Radiologic Imaging (90%):
- Screen patients for examination precautions and contradictions, using two patient identifiers.
- Explain and prepare patients for imaging procedures, positioning them correctly.
- Perform routine and advanced imaging procedures with minimal supervision, providing patient support throughout.
- Adjust scan parameters correctly, utilizing dose reduction techniques as needed.
- Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, customers, and colleagues.
- Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations.
- Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits.
- Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
- Clean and disinfect equipment after each use.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Radiologic Department Support (5%):
- Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
- Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
- Assist with training new associates, providing resource and technical expertise.
Additional Responsibilities (5%):
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
This position is full-time, working Monday-Friday with rotating day and evening shifts, including weekend rotation. We are willing to train in mammography for interested candidates.
