About the Role

MU Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our neurodiagnostics department, you will play a critical role in conducting specialized tests and procedures to diagnose and treat neurological disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct EEGs, epilepsy monitoring, sleep studies, nerve conduction, and evoked potential procedures
  • Explain test procedures to patients and provide psychological support to ensure quality test results
  • Collaborate with physicians to inform them of patients' psychological status and environmental conditions during procedures
  • Adapt test methods and instrumentation to obtain optimal patient results
  • Clean, calibrate, and process neurophysiology equipment
  • Recognize medically emergent situations and take appropriate actions
  • Complete necessary documentation and billing
Requirements
  • Registration in one of the following: Electroencephalographic (R.EEG T.), Evoked Potential (R. EPT.), or Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) certification by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET); or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnography Technologists (BRPT); or Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T.) by the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technicians (AAET); or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Graduation from an accredited neurodiagnostic program
