Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurodiagnostic Specialist to join our team at MU Health Care. As a Neurodiagnostic Specialist, you will be responsible for performing advanced tests and procedures within the Neurodiagnostic Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain test procedures to patients and provide for their psychological needs while in the laboratory.
  • Perform scoring and long-term monitoring review.
  • Collaborate with physicians to inform them of patients' psychological status and environmental conditions during procedures.
  • Adapt test methods and instrumentation to obtain optimal patient results.
  • Clean, calibrate, and process neurophysiology equipment.
  • Recognize medically emergent situations and take appropriate actions.
  • Complete necessary documentation and billing.
  • Perform limited office, secretarial, and transport duties.
Requirements
  • Five (5) years of neurodiagnostic experience.
  • Registration in two (2) of the following: Electroencephalographic (R.EEG T.), Evoked Potential (R. EPT.), or Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) certification, or Certification for Long Term Monitoring (CLTM) by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET); or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnography Technologists (BRPT); or Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T.) by the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technicians (AAET); or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited neurodiagnostic program.
  • Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
