Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical care and transportation to patients at the Paramedic/Firefighter (EMT-P) level, within the scope of practice as stipulated by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and/or EMS Commission of Illinois.
  • Collaborate with emergency responders and medical professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest medical techniques and protocols.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Current Paramedic License
  • Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter Certification
  • At least 1 year of experience in emergency medical services
  • CPR Certification
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License
  • ACLS (Metro will provide training)
  • PALS (Metro will provide training)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check
