Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Firefighter Paramedic to join our team at the City of New Haven Fire Department. As a Firefighter Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services, firefighting, and rescue operations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer basic and advanced life support to patients in emergency situations
  • Respond to fire alarms and participate in firefighting operations
  • Provide emergency medical care and transportation to patients
  • Participate in daily training sessions and drills to maintain and improve skills
  • Inspect buildings and premises for fire hazards and perform routine maintenance duties
Requirements
  • Valid Paramedic Certification/License (from any State)
  • Valid Current National Registry Certification as a Paramedic
  • Firefighter 1 & 2 certification from an accredited regional school or fire academy
  • Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations certification from an accredited regional school or fire academy
  • CPAT certification within one year prior to application
