Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Operator to join our team at Corix. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our water treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain water treatment equipment, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to equipment, and perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
  • Assist with emergency procedures, including responding to spills and overflows, and following safety protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain records of plant operations, including meter readings, tests, and chemical usage.
  • Clean and maintain treatment plant facilities, including equipment, walls, and floors.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, and report safety concerns to management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; first-level operator license preferred.
  • At least 2 years of mechanical work experience, with experience in water treatment or wastewater operations preferred.
  • Ability to read meters, charts, and gauges, and accurately maintain records of plant operations.
  • Ability to perform mathematical equations to determine chemical doses required for flow rates and proper treatment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, co-workers, and regulatory agencies.
