This is an exciting opportunity to join the North Carolina State University College of Education as a Professional Learning Extension Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing innovative professional learning initiatives that support the growth and development of educators across the state.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the development and implementation of professional learning initiatives, including non-credit bearing coursework and professional development programs.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners to design and deliver high-quality professional learning experiences that meet the needs of educators.
- Manage regional program resources, provide oversight, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and grant guidelines.
- Recruit schools and districts to participate in professional learning initiatives and maintain effective communication with school and district personnel.
- Coordinate with program leadership to hire and manage instructional coaches and provide support to ensure successful program implementation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including educators, administrators, and community partners.
- Provide coaching and support to instructional coaches and educators to enhance their practice and improve student outcomes.
- Design and facilitate professional development sessions, workshops, and other learning experiences.
- Collect and analyze data to inform program development and improvement.
- Masters degree in Adult Education, Curriculum Supervision, Curriculum and Instruction, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, operate with discretion, and maintain confidentiality.
- Experience coaching educators or other professionals, preferably in a public school or higher education setting.
