Position Overview:
Our organization is seeking a dedicated helpdesk technician with 1-2 years of relevant experience in service desk operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with workstation-related issues, providing support for Microsoft Office applications, handling password resets, and performing basic troubleshooting tasks. While many tickets may be escalated to other teams, the technician should possess sufficient knowledge to restart software applications and have a basic to intermediate understanding of PC and laptop hardware. Familiarity with any ticketing software is a valuable asset. The selected candidate will undergo a comprehensive two-week training program, where they will shadow an experienced service desk specialist to gain insights and learn effective call handling techniques. They will also receive training on resolving point-of-sale (POS) system issues.
Additional Qualifications:
The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills over the phone, exhibit professionalism, and possess strong customer service abilities to effectively assist customers, including those who may be frustrated.
