Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, and organize work for efficient use of personnel and facilities.
  • Coordinate the activities of the nursing staff and ensure physician orders are carried out.
  • Ensure care plans are fulfilled and unit charting and documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Interface with patients and their families to provide instruction and promote participation in patient care.
  • Maintain required clinic records, reports, and statistics for administrative purposes.

Requirements
  • Graduated from an accredited Registered Nurse program with current Alaska license or eligibility to obtain.
  • Three years dialysis experience preferred; six months dialysis experience required.
  • Ability to exercise leadership skills to communicate effectively and manage the performance of others.
  • Ability to understand and implement government standards.
  • Strong belief in quality patient care and maximizing clinical performance measures for each patient.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other computer-related programs, including Electronic Medical Records databases.
