Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Clinical Assistant to join our team at HexaQuEST Health, Inc. in Juneau. As a Lead Clinical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, mentoring and training new clinical assistants, and contributing to the efficient operation of our ambulatory care clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, medical procedures, and patient education
  • Mentor and train new clinical assistants to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical workflows and procedures
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and regional manager to standardize clinical assistant workflows and onboarding processes
  • Act as a mentor to all clinical assistant staff and provide guidance and support as needed
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of experience in direct patient care
  • Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
