Position Summary

Join our esteemed Culinary Team at Proof of the Pudding, the premier food and beverage provider for numerous high-profile events. As a Culinary Road Warrior, you will have the opportunity to travel across the country, working alongside a talented group of chefs. Positions offer adaptable schedules, allowing you to select events that align with your availability. Competitive compensation is provided, with the potential for significant overtime during event days.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute high-volume food preparation while maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to assess purchasing needs, minimizing waste and ensuring adequate supplies.
  • Properly store, label, and date food items as per the chef's directives.
  • Safely operate food-service equipment.
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless meal service.
  • Supervise kitchen staff to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to HACCP guidelines to uphold food safety and quality standards.
  • Follow recipes to produce consistent high-volume dishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, assisting in event breakdown.

Qualifications:

Experience & Skills:
  • Proven experience in a leadership culinary role, preferably in high-volume catering settings.
  • Willingness to travel domestically throughout the year.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong teamwork and initiative to achieve individual and collective success.
  • Knowledge of food safety best practices.
  • Ability to endure long hours and physically demanding tasks.

Physical Requirements:
  • Extended periods of standing and moving throughout event spaces.
  • Capability to lift approximately 25 lbs and perform various physical tasks.
