Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all animals in transit, providing hydration and care that meets or exceeds industry standards.
- Facilitating timely transportation of pets, including airport transfers, veterinary visits, and boarding facility deliveries.
- Monitoring animal behavior and health, promptly reporting any concerns to supervisors.
- Managing and organizing animal health documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the transport vehicle and supplies.
- Adhering to all security regulations during transportation to and from airline facilities.
- Communicating effectively with pet owners, veterinary facilities, and transportation representatives.
- Building and nurturing relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Exhibiting strong interpersonal skills and handling sensitive situations with discretion.
- Demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills in a dynamic work environment.
- Utilizing basic technology for communication and navigation.
- Adapting to the evolving needs of a regulated industry.
- Working a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
- Keeping inventory and supplies updated for the service area.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
- At least 21 years of age.
- Reside within a reasonable distance of major airports.
- Possess a clean driving record and background check.
- Experience in handling pets with patience and care.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
- Comfortable with extensive travel and time on the road.
- Experience driving larger vehicles is preferred.
- Minimum of one year in customer service roles.
- Previous driving experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with TSA regulations is a plus.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership of tasks.
- Organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Availability for last-minute scheduling is preferred for leadership roles.
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Physical demands including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Variable hours based on transportation needs, including weekends and holidays.
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
