JOB OVERVIEW:

  • Support the Area Manager in executing designated projects;
  • Conduct daily operations and facilitate the flow of information;
  • Operate under close supervision;
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability as a collaborative team member with effective communication skills;
  • May be allocated to either Underground or Paving sectors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiate, prepare, review, monitor, and disseminate Requests for Information (RFIs);
  • Deliver value engineering and Requests for Change (RFC) to enhance base designs;
  • Assess risks and contribute to strategic planning efforts;
  • Assist in construction activities and engage in planning and design processes;
  • Collaborate with on-site departments as necessary;
  • Oversee and verify material deliveries;
  • Contribute to project completion and close-out activities;

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Comprehensive understanding of the construction industry;
  • Strong verbal and written communication capabilities;
  • Basic mathematical and accounting proficiency;
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications;

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Familiarity with construction engineering technologies;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:

  • Telephone - Frequently used;
  • Small Hand Tools - Used moderately;
  • Copier - Occasionally utilized;
  • Computer - Used moderately;

SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY:

Spectrum, Microsoft Office Suite

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • No specific certifications required;

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

  • Completion of pre-employment background screening;
  • Drug and alcohol testing;
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Capability to read, analyze, and interpret various documents.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regularly required to communicate verbally;
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands;
  • Occasionally required to reach, balance, and bend;
  • Must be able to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is conducted in an office setting, on field sites, and at client facilities;

Adherence to safety protocols and use of appropriate safety equipment is essential;

Noise levels in the work environment are typically moderate.
