Position Summary
The role involves a variety of responsibilities related to Clinical Information Systems (CIS) applications, including the design, development, implementation, and support of CIS software and associated processes. The incumbent will collaborate with project and support teams to ensure effective development, training, support, and evaluation of CIS applications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain moderately complex software according to established standards and departmental protocols to fulfill user specifications.
2. Evaluate user requests for enhancements to clinical systems and collaborate with stakeholders to gather specifications for the purchase, development, and installation of clinical systems.
3. Ensure service level agreements are maintained with various end-user departments and enterprise business units.
4. Analyze documentation and workflows in departments, designing or redesigning system components to support appropriate workflows.
5. Conduct needs assessments for complex workflows and analyze reporting needs of end users.
6. Identify potential risks specific to processes or departments and assist in developing strategies for mitigation.
7. Develop and adhere to project work plans, leading project meetings and coordinating duties with team members.
8. Research, document, and facilitate resolutions to issues reported by end-users, testing clinical software according to guidelines.
9. Present training to diverse audiences and ensure system documentation is current and accessible to users.
10. Periodically assess user proficiency with clinical applications and provide optimization training to enhance efficiency and satisfaction.
11. Participate in the development of best practice standards and support change management initiatives across departments.
12. Monitor and measure process improvements, identifying areas for policy or procedural development.
