Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Level II for a job in California.
About the RoleThis position provides diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders for more complex cases. Ensures compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. Oversees work of entry-level staff and supports community programs.
We are looking for an experienced Speech Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech-language pathology and excellent clinical skills. They will be responsible for evaluating and administering diagnostic tests, providing individualized treatment to adults and children, and advising physicians and member/caregivers on test results.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and administer diagnostic tests and provide individualized treatment to adults and children for various communication disorders, voice and swallowing impairments, and neurological defects.
- Collaborate with physicians as treatment plans change and provide training for junior therapists.
- Develop, implement, and maintain department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Identify opportunities to contain costs and improve services while assisting with community programs.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Speech Therapist, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist License (California) and Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Certificate.
- National Provider Identifier and Basic Life Support certification required.
Estimated Salary: $ 105,000 - 130,000 per year
