Job Summary:

Provides diagnosis and treatment of complex communication disorders for adults and children. Ensures compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. Oversees work of entry-level staff and supports community programs.



As a Speech Language Pathologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will evaluate and administer diagnostic tests, provide individualized treatment, and advise physicians and member/caregivers of test results.


Essential Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates and administers diagnostic tests and provides individualized treatment to adults and children for complex communication disorders, voice and swallowing impairment, and neurological defects.
  • Collaborates with physicians as treatment plans change, provides training for junior therapists, and participates in developing inservice programs for staff development.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains department policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Assists with community programs and identifies opportunities to contain costs and improve services.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum two (2) years of previous experience as a Speech Therapist.
Additional Requirements:
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
