We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Screener to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Health Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our donors by conducting thorough medical screenings and phlebotomy procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct medical screenings and phlebotomy procedures on donors to ensure their safety and well-being
- Monitor donors during the donation process and manage any adverse reactions
- Perform venipuncture and programming of plasmapheresis machines
- Stock supplies, break down empty cartons, and assist with proper disposal
- Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS)
- Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
- Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
- Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
- 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful
