Outpatient Behavioral Health LPN

As an Outpatient Behavioral Health LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. This position requires a skilled and compassionate individual who can work effectively as part of a team to deliver exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Prepares patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and gathering pertinent health information.
Monitors and completes clinical integration and quality improvement measures, notifying clinicians of opportunities within their scope.
Performs laboratory procedures using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions.
Assists physicians and advanced practice clinicians with procedures such as pelvic exams and allergy scratch testing.
Administers routine medications under physician orders or medical group-approved standing orders.
Follows through with necessary procedure or test requests, pre-approved care algorithms, and new appointment times.
Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure smooth clinic flow.
Requirements
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 45 days.
GED or high school equivalency diploma.
Completion of an accredited or approved program in medical assisting or 2 years of verifiable full-time experience as a medical assistant within the last 5 years.
Ability to perform routine and complex technical skills within the medical assistant scope of practice after demonstrated competency.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop rapport and maintain positive relationships with patients, team members, and physicians.
Proficient computer skills, including keyboarding, navigation within a windows operating system, and use of electronic mail with exposure to electronic medical records systems.
Working Conditions
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders throughout the workday. The ability to lift 35 pounds without assistance is also required. Patient handling equipment is expected to be used when necessary, with at least one other team member available. The position will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood, and body fluids on a frequent basis and will be required to wear protective clothing and equipment as needed.
