Job Description:

The Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Plano is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat patients. Your expertise and critical thinking skills will help ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Salary: $140,000 per year

About the Job:

As a Nurse Practitioner, your primary responsibility will be to provide direct patient care to patients presenting to the emergency department. This includes assessing patients' conditions, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat patients. You will also operate and monitor medical equipment, such as IV pumps and cardiac monitors, and maintain accurate records of patient care.

Requirements:

To be successful as a Nurse Practitioner, you must have a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Texas and a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctoral Degree in Nursing (DNP). Many Nurse Practitioners also obtain certifications, such as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), to enhance their skills and qualifications for working in emergency care environments.

This is a contracted travel position, which means you will work on a short-term basis and have the opportunity to gain new experiences and build your professional network.
