Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is seeking a Mobile Software Engineer for a CONTRACT opportunity with one of our esteemed Financial Services partners.

Overview of the Role:
The Client Channels division within Wealth Management is responsible for the development of the Firm's Mobile Applications for both iOS and Android platforms. These hybrid applications (utilizing Angular and Cordova) offer users a comprehensive overview of their financial assets and liabilities, enabling quick payment processing, transfer functionalities, projected income insights, and access to breaking news and research tailored for wealth management clients. As a vital member of this team, the selected candidate will engage in the development and maintenance of external client-facing web and mobile applications within a collaborative and innovative environment. Key Responsibilities:
As a developer with a focus on Web Application Architecture and Continuous Integration within the mobile team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining custom Cordova plugins, including necessary hooks.
  • Conducting annual updates on the codebase and automated build scripts to align with the latest iOS and Xcode changes.
  • Managing certificates and signing processes, including certificate pinning, provisioning profiles, and push notification certificates.
  • Analyzing production feedback, crash reports, and analytics to resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborating with infrastructure teams to tackle proxy, software, and administrative privilege challenges affecting iOS development or build processes.
  • Educating web application developers on building and debugging hybrid applications.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Objective-C, Swift 5.5, and C++ as required by Apple frameworks.
  • Extensive experience with iOS APIs, including but not limited to Local Authentication, WebKit, and Networking.
  • In-depth understanding of iOS programming principles, including Threading, Crash Analysis, and Swizzling.
  • Competence in JavaScript programming using Node, along with Hybrid App debugging via Safari.
  • Familiarity with Git submodules and NPM package publishing.
  • Proficient in using Cordova command line tools.
  • Knowledge of the latest Xcode, xcodebuild, application loader, and iOS.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in API development.
  • Background in Android application development.
  • Strong skills in user experience design.
