Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Psychiatric team at Long Island Community Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze patient health data to inform treatment plans
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote patient well-being
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and wellness
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Current New York State license or permit as a Registered Professional Nurse
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients and their families
  • Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written format
  • Analytical ability to assess and develop solutions to clinical situations or unit problems
  • Ability to maintain knowledge and proficiency in the clinical area and age group served
