General Overview:


The selected candidate will collaborate with the Accounting Team, ensuring the precise and timely execution of general ledger accounting responsibilities for the managing general agency.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and guarantee the punctual submission of monthly financial reports adhering to both statutory and GAAP standards.
2. Compile and ensure the timely delivery of quarterly and annual statutory financial documents.
3. Conduct budget versus actual performance analysis on a monthly basis.
4. Provide insights on cost-saving measures and cost containment strategies.
5. Generate reports as mandated by regulatory bodies.

6. Collaborate with internal auditors as directed by the Controller/AVP Finance to facilitate external audits and complete internal audit assessments.

7. Ensure adherence to all contracts associated with the Managing General Agency.

8. Engage in a diverse range of special projects and prepare various specialized reports with accuracy and promptness.

9. Maintain professional communication with colleagues, management, clients, agents, and other stakeholders.
10. Undertake additional responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications:

- Capability to take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, along with the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly spreadsheets.
- Above-average proficiency in Excel, Access, and PowerPoint is essential.
- Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are critical for this role.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills are required.
