Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer to join our team in Washington, DC, and Fort Detrick, MD. This position involves remote work and occasional travel to the customer site.

The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for providing application development support using the DevSecOps framework and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support in all aspects of software development lifecycle, including planning, software architecture design, development, user interface design, front-end design and development, back-end development, testing, engineering, fielding, and sustainment.
  • Maintain and develop an efficient, effective, and secure developing environment.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the customer's public facing website redesign project.
  • Contribute to Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
  • Implement technology refresh and application code modernization.
  • Ensure code documentation for easy maintenance and knowledge transfer.
  • Update or rewrite applications to conform to the customer's modernization plan and ensure cloud compliance.
  • Develop test cases and conduct unit testing prior to submitting code for scanning and testing.
  • Foster current development lifecycle practices using standard development tools and provide recommendations for improvements.

Requirements:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • At least 5 years of experience in application development
  • Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: ColdFusion, Java, HTML5, PHP, Oracle Apex, and ServiceNow
  • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (or ability to obtain)
