Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Engineer to join our team at Commercial Real Estate Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of all building systems, ensuring efficient operation, and providing exceptional tenant services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Install, fabricate, construct, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs and replacements.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support to the Chief Engineer, Operations Manager, and other team members.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in building maintenance, mechanical systems, or a related field.
  • Comprehensive training and certification in HVAC or Operation Engineering Technologies.
  • Licenses and certifications for applicable jurisdictions and equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and NFC codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly requires standing, walking, reaching, and using arms to perform tasks.
  • Frequently required to sit, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, balance, and climb stairs and ladders.
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs., and occasionally required to lift/move 50+ lbs.

Internal and External Contacts:

  • This position interacts extensively with tenants, vendors, and contractors, as well as other employees within Commercial Real Estate Company.

Reporting Structure:

  • This position will receive supervision and direction from the Lead Engineer, Chief Engineer, or Operations Manager.

This is a full-time, in-office position requiring standard business hours. Remote work or telecommuting is not an option for this role.
