Job Overview

The National Leasing Agent is a key member of our team, responsible for driving leasing performance across assigned markets, communities, and properties. This role requires a strong understanding of leasing strategies and the ability to analyze market trends to maximize gross rents and lease-up absorptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement leasing strategies to achieve target occupancy rates, NOI targets, and leasing goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure effective marketing of new properties and existing inventory.
  • Manage a portfolio of properties, reviewing listings daily for accuracy and ensuring timely lease execution.
  • Respond to incoming leads and requests for information, nurturing leads through calls, texts, and email campaigns.
  • Oversee the processing of applications and creation of leases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage communication with coordinators to ensure timely and effective execution of leasing tasks.
  • Provide guidance and set best practices for on-site leasing agents and third-party leasing.
  • Identify and analyze market trends to inform leasing decisions and maximize revenue.
  • Collaborate with the investment team to complete asset valuations and quarterly valuation updates.
  • Facilitate and coordinate with applicants, tenants, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions from lead generation to move-in.
  • Assist in the development of marketing plans for new BFR communities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Real estate license in multiple states and the ability to obtain future licenses as needed.
  • Knowledge of local housing ordinances and eviction procedures.
  • Complete understanding of fair housing laws.
  • Above-average ability to communicate with others and work as part of a team remotely.
  • Intermediate computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
  • Knowledge of leasing rental property management standards and practices.
