Position Details: Nurse Practitioner (4 days/week)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee and administer intravenous infusions and injections for patients with chronic conditions.
- Assist in the preparation of biologics.
- Provide education to patients regarding medication risks, side effects, and benefits.
- Coordinate care plans with referring providers and our infusion center.
- Engage with referring providers to ensure all medication criteria are satisfied and necessary documentation is secured.
- Verify medical records and diagnostic tests to support diagnosis and treatment.
- Review laboratory results, reports, and previous medications.
- Keep the Medical Director and Nursing Director informed on clinical matters.
- Support the management of registered nurses and other staff with any clinic-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with National Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or a post-master level certificate in pediatrics.
- Current basic life support/AED & ACLS certification.
- At least two years of experience in a hospital, clinic, or ambulatory setting caring for both children and adults.
- Comfortable in emergency situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates leadership, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
Additional Skills:
- Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Experienced in initiating IVs and managing infusion reactions.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $70-80, based on experience and expertise.
