Job Title: Gas Pipeline Excavator Operator

Job Summary:

Hall Contracting of Kentucky, Inc. is seeking a skilled Gas Pipeline Excavator Operator to join our team. As a key member of our pipeline construction crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate and install gas pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and bulldozers to excavate and install gas pipelines.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with crew members to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Comply with company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or pipeline setting.
  • Ability to read and understand machine manuals and load charts.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.

Work Environment:

This position requires frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity. The noise level in the work environment can be loud, and the employee must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this job include frequent lifting and carrying of heavy equipment and materials, as well as prolonged standing and walking. The employee must be able to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.

Travel:

This position requires frequent travel to construction sites throughout the region.
