Job Title: Gas Pipeline Dozer Operator
Job Summary:
Hall Contracting of Kentucky, Inc. is seeking a skilled Gas Pipeline Dozer Operator to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to construct and maintain gas pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate dozer equipment to clear and grade terrain for pipeline construction
- Monitor equipment fluid levels and perform daily maintenance tasks
- Adjust hand wheels and pedals to control attachments and drive machine
- Notify superintendent of any equipment issues or problems
- Perform daily greasing of equipment and ensure proper safety procedures are followed
- Read machine manuals and load charts to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Work with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Four years of experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in construction or pipeline industry
- Ability to read and understand machine manuals and load charts
- Excellent hand, eye, and foot coordination
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials
Work Environment:
Work will be performed in a construction environment with exposure to extreme weather conditions, noise, and vibration.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be physically healthy to stand, bend, and walk for up to 10-12 hours a day.
Travel:
Travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Four (4) year minimum of previous experience in operating construction equipment. Applicant must have no felonies that are violent in nature and/or theft related in the last seven (7) years. Applicant must have reliable transportation to and from job site.
