Job Summary:

The Field Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to project managers, superintendents, and foremen to ensure the successful completion of construction projects. This includes performing scheduling, managing revenue and cost, contracting and coordinating sub-contractors and product vendors, and participating in the preparation and implementation of permanent design management and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduling of the project
  • Manage revenue, cost, and cash flow
  • Contract, manage, and coordinate sub-contractors and product vendors
  • Participate in the preparation and implementation of permanent design management and quality control
  • Oversee project closeout
  • Maintain close contact and good working relationships with client representatives
  • Assist in operations planning
  • Administer contracts and subcontracts
  • Train and direct Field Engineers
  • Develop and maintain owner relations
Requirements:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Excellent understanding of pre-construction and construction processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation
  • Respectfully takes direction and adheres to feedback from site superintendent and project managers
  • Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance in accordance with project and company work hours
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office, Primavera is a plus, Heavy Job/Heavy Bid is a plus
  • Working experience managing engineers
  • Ability to travel and relocate to projects in the Pacific Northwest and Southwest Central regions
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree is highly desired in the related fields of Construction Management or Engineering. Field Engineer: 0-3 years' working experience in construction or engineering.
