Job Summary:

ACCO Engineered Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our hydronic trades operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all hydronic field activities to ensure standards and productivity are met
  • Assist direct reports with resource management, team selection, project execution strategies, and scheduling
  • Provide resolution of issues, challenges, and obstacles
  • Implement QA/QC protocols, safety measures, and ACCO policies and procedures
  • Plan for successful project installation, job walks, and attend pre-bid and post-bid interviews
  • Review bid estimates, participate in project kick-off, mid-job, and wrap-up meetings, and review project documents
  • Assign field supervision and labor to projects, move employees between General Forepersons, Forepersons, and Truck Forepersons, and continuously evaluate personnel performance
  • Monitor and advise on quality control measures, evaluate and advise on means and methods of continuous improvement, and review and track project labor budgets
  • Engage with labor relations representatives, mentor General Forepersons and Forepersons, and assist the Director with departmental budgets, financial planning, and fleet management

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in Construction leading projects
  • Member of the local hydronics union in good standing
  • Experience with various business and corporate software technologies ACCO currently utilizes
  • Proficient in English
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting plans and specifications
  • Knowledge of local quality, occupational safety, and health regulations for construction job sites

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Member/affiliate of local apprenticeship training programs
  • Degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or architecture
  • Experience in remote training software and technologies used within best-in-class organizations
  • Software experience in CRM/PM Platforms, Collaboration, Design/Detailing, Spooling, Fabrication, and Trimble

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Distance vision
  • The auditory/hearing abilities required by the job include the ability to hear customers calling by telephone
  • The employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods, stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear

Travel:

75-90% of the time to and from the primary office to job sites and regional branch offices

Wages:

This position is for signatory employees and wages will be in alignment with the current Collective Bargaining Agreements
