Program Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for Engineering Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and assist in risk development and management.
  • Deliver Control/Cost Account Management (CAM) support utilizing Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and agile project execution methodologies.
  • Assist in drafting technical specifications, Statements of Work (SOWs), and conducting design reviews.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure staff training on essential Engineering Tools for program support.
  • Maintain and ensure adherence to design processes and guidelines within the department.
  • Collaborate with peer managers to ensure consistency across various work groups.
  • Contribute to proposal inputs and review proposal content for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead or support departmental initiatives, technology roadmap creation, cross-campus/sector involvement, and Independent Research and Development (IRAD) project leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience, a Master's degree with 7 years of experience, or a PhD with 7 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or related technical fields.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • An active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start.
  • 3 years of experience leading large and diverse technical teams.
  • Experience in the systems engineering discipline within the defense or aerospace sectors.
  • Knowledge of hiring, staffing, engineering metrics, training resources, processes, and tools.
  • Background in Radar or Electronic Warfare technology with experience in sensor development and implementation.

  • Experience leading groups of 30+ in a functional, programmatic, or technical capacity.
  • 3 years of experience in functional management of an engineering organization.
  • High proficiency in technical problem-solving, including decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation, and monitoring, along with experience in systems engineering across multiple program phases.
