About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our Federal Programs Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical engineering solutions for various projects at Fort George G. Meade Army Base in Maryland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical engineering solutions for projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and energy management systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct site investigations and inspections to identify potential issues and develop corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest mechanical engineering techniques and technologies to ensure the delivery of innovative solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design and construction, with a focus on federal projects.
  • Strong proficiency in REVIT design software and experience with building information modeling (BIM).
  • Current Professional Engineer registration in mechanical discipline.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government-issued Secret clearance.
  • US citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience with controls systems.
  • Mechanical system design experience on federal and/or military projects.
  • Familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) system.
  • Active US Government-issued Secret clearance.
