Job Summary

The Senior Mechanical Facilities Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing HVAC and plumbing systems for various mission-critical projects. This role will involve planning, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of HVAC and plumbing design work, including calculations, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and layout of mechanical equipment and associated duct and piping systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop HVAC and plumbing systems for mission-critical projects
  • Plan, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of HVAC and plumbing design work
  • Develop mechanical construction and equipment specifications, test and inspection plans, and system design descriptions
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks and sequences of tasks for projects with less complex features
  • Perform engineering quality assurance checks of project designs
  • Support new project proposals with mechanical discipline scopes, budget estimates, and schedules

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program
  • PE License required
  • Experience in HVAC and plumbing/piping systems design and associated engineering calculations
  • Working knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, and NFPA standards
  • Working knowledge of IMC, IPC, and IBC codes
  • Ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation
  • Ability to work in an environment with open discussions and visitors without getting distracted
  • May be required to lift up to 20 lbs

Benefits
  • Salary $130,000 - $150,000 per year
