Job Description

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Equipment Installation Design Engineer for the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) in Fort Worth, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design the installation of aircraft equipment and systems, including Line Replacement Units (LRUs), Control Panels, and cockpit systems.
  • Conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives to optimize form, fit, and function of equipment installations.
  • Define, develop, and finalize equipment layouts and systems, as well as harness interfaces.
  • Create Build-to-Packages for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations.
  • Coordinate with other technical disciplines for optimized integration at the aircraft level.

Requirements:

  • Experience creating and/or modifying drawings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with aircraft equipment installation design and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5.
  • Experience with metallic design.
  • Experience with hand analysis for initial part layout.
