Pepin Distributing Company, LLC is a leading beverage distributor in the Tampa Bay area, and we're seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to join our team.

Job Summary

The Fleet Technician will perform repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, vehicle bodies, and control systems. This role requires a strong knowledge of CUMMINS software systems and the ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company-owned tractors and trailers
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment
  • Run road calls to complete repairs on the road, if necessary
  • Conduct fleet checks weekly on all fleet equipment, including checking mileage, fluid levels, belts, tires, leaks, and cab inspection
  • Drives repaired trucks or other vehicles to verify conformance to specifications
  • Inspect tires, DOT inspections, and general appearance of vehicles and corrects any problems
  • Examines refrigeration units and makes any necessary repairs to electrical and diesel operation as needed
  • Maintains checklist of all repairs made on each truck and keeps accurate equipment files
  • Keeps service truck stocked sufficiently to facilitate road calls
  • Always keeps work area in clean working order
  • Assists outside vendors on yard fleet inspections/maintenance
  • Logs maintenance and repairs in shop software
Requirements
  • At least 2 to 5 years' experience as a diesel mechanic working on commercial trucks and/or combined years of experience plus successful completion of technical training
  • Strong knowledge of CUMMINS software systems
  • Able to speak clearly and listen attentively
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Safety-minded
  • Sound computer knowledge and ability to learn new software
  • Have a current Commercial Driver's License, preferred
  • MS office experience and the ability to communicate electronically
  • Must have your own tools
