Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Spectrum Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology, ensuring accurate and efficient results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality diagnostic exams after verifying patient identification and physician orders.
  • Acquire accurate patient histories and document in the medical record.
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and follow policy for any malfunctions or quality control failures.
  • Minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self.
  • Provide procedural information and education to patients prior to each exam.
  • Contribute to the effective operations of the department by assisting fellow employees and staying in compliance with quality assurance and quality control.
  • Accurately and efficiently use hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules, and sending information to PACS.
  • Assist in the training of students and new hires.
  • Ensure equipment is wiped down between patients and exam rooms are clean and properly stocked with linen and supplies.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program.
  • Training gained at student level.
  • CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (180 days required).
  • CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (upon hire required).
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association (upon hire required) or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross (upon hire required).
