Job Summary:

Wise Plastics Technologies is seeking a skilled Mold Repair Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining injection molding tooling, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support to the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

Repair and adjust injection molds, dies, fixtures, and tooling to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling meets customer requirements.
Troubleshoot issues related to tooling and provide technical support as needed.
Maintain data on locations of all customer-owned tooling and audit tool room inventory.
Ensure machine tools, measuring devices, and other equipment are in good, safe working condition.

Requirements:

Minimum 1-2 years' experience in mold repairing and troubleshooting injection mold tooling.
Ability to work from complex prints and tool drawings.
Experience using mills, lathes, grinders, and hand tools.
Strong mathematical skills and ability to multitask.
Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Experience in repair of hot runner systems and ability to interface with molds while still in the press.
Collaborative and able to work under time constraints.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with unscrewing molds, welding, and knowledge of LSR (liquid silicone rubber).
Ability to work with overhead cranes and forklifts.

Level / Required Certification:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Additional Information:

Must have own transportation and valid driver's license for travel between plants. Physical requirements may include long periods of sitting, standing, stairs, kneeling, climbing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 35 pounds. Will be exposed to the odor of plastics and required to work in small, tight spaces and climb ladders. May operate overhead crane. Must have ability to wear required PPE. Will be part of on-call rotation. Must be able to work OT and off shifts as needed. Other duties as required.
