The Salvation Army is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residence Manager to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our residential facilities, ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the residential facility, including supervising staff and coordinating with other departments as needed.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the facility and the delivery of high-quality services to residents.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure compliance with safety and health regulations and to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
- Provide training and support to staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote the services and programs offered by The Salvation Army.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent.
- Previous managerial experience is desirable.
- Must possess a current Driver's License and be able to qualify for The Salvation Army insurance.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common professional journals, financial reports and other data.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from beneficiaries, agencies, or the community.
- Ability to effectively present information to administration, beneficiaries, and/or public groups.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as rate, ratio and percentages.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Working Conditions
This job is mostly performed in a residential institutional environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. At times, you will be required to go into the warehouse or stores. Closed toe shoes with rubber soles are required for the warehouse for all employees. This position may be contingent on living in the ARC (Adult Rehabilitation Center). All employees recognize that The Salvation Army is a church and agree that they will do nothing as an employee of The Salvation Army to undermine its religious mission.
